I’m usually on the cutting edge when it comes to upgrading WordPress for Meandering Passages (MP), but with WordPress 2.3 I’ve delayed due to hearing some were experiencing problems with plugins, etc.
I happy to say that after upgrading my plugins to the latest version I installed WordPress 2.3 last night and it seems to be working well. If you experience anything unusual with MP please leave me a comment.
WordPress 2.3 “Dexter” was released on September 25th, 2007 with many new and bug fixes.
Update 10/10/07: I did experience a problem with posting comments generating a dB error. Using the process of elimination, I found it was caused by an older version of a plugin that I’d failed to update. Once updated, this error went away.
Update 10/11/07: Found that you would get a 404 error whenever you selected the “Print this Post” option under each post. Went back through the install steps for the WP Plugin “WP-Print” which included updating permalink structure. This seemed to fix the problem. I think this may have been generating errors even before the upgrade to 2.3.
