In the middle of last year we got a phone call from a marketing company asking us to be part of the new marketing campaign for VanLeigh, the manufactures of our RV. The media company is Mindvolt and they had just come on board to design, develop and implement a new website for VanLeigh. Our schedule for the remainder of 2016 was already set so Mindvolt decided to meet us in Charlotte while we were there for the holidays. They set up all their filming equipment at our site, which must have set our neighbors wondering what was going on, and worked with us for two days. Work is a relative term as most of our time was spent sitting and talking about our new lifestyle, our new Vilano 5th Wheel RV and VanLeigh, the company that manufactures it.
It was a fun experience and we were flattered to be recommended by Leigh Tiffen, one of the owners and officers of VanLeigh, to take part in their new marketing venture. I’m not sure why Leigh suggested us other than we had been the first customers to visit the company factory and had an opportunity to meet Leigh while we were there. This was an easy-ask for us since the subject matter is something we are enthusiastic about and believe in and the videographers put us immediately at ease.
The new website went live this past week and the video below can be found at the bottom of their website homepage along with a couple of other interesting videos. The video can also be found for a short while on this blog’s homepage under “Featured Video.”

It was fun and we had no idea what the final result would be until a couple of weeks ago when they sent us the link to a preview copy of the video. Does anyone like to see and hear themselves on video? :-)

Perhaps Infamous in some circles, Monte, but not famous. Still it was a unique and fun experience. We were honored and glad we got to take part in it but we’re not expecting any royalty checks to come rolling in. Hope you’re doing well.
