Bonnie and I are enjoying the autumn season about the Charlotte, NC, area while taking care of appointments and visiting with family and friends.  Being now fully retired allows us more time to spend  here this year than last year.

I’m still photographing, although not as much as in the past. I’m finding a purer enjoyment in experiencing the moments and I’m not as driven to try and capture them.  But, these are a few scenes which caught my eye and then the focus of my camera.

In late December we’ll head to Myrtle Beach for a month before working our way south to Florida for the rest of winter and early spring. We’re considering several options for our travels the rest of 2017…more on that perhaps later.

  1. Welcome back, Brooks! As seems to be usual for October, we are having those wild temperature swings and the leaves seem to be trying to make up their mind about changing colors. :) I hope that I get to visit with you for a “spell” before you head back down the road!

  2. Glad to see you still exploring! love the Autumn Sparkle photo!

    • Yeah, Mark, still traveling and enjoying the lifestyle! Did my annual doctor visit the other day and my blood pressure was the lowest it’s ever been so I guess I’m doing something right. :-) Thanks on the photo…I like that one too. I hope you and yours are doing well and that you have a great holiday season.

  3. The Autumn sparkle image is awesome. A good life is being lived by the two of you. Makes me smile. And, winter in Florida is not too bad a place to be. What a wonderful lifestyle!

    • Thanks, Monte! People often tell us we’re “living the life.” Funny thing is, it requires the least amont of effort to do this lifestyle of anything I’ve ever done. Maybe that’s the secret…when it’s right, it’s easy? :-)
