Yes, I can tell you from experience that these suckers are painful! Also a good idea to wear jeans and over-the-ankle hiking boots. The desert is beautiful but can also be unforgiving. I still love seeing people walking around in places like this in shorts and flip-flops……..Dumb.
I’m with you, Paul. In this type of environment things, plants, insects and animals, survive by being harsh. You’re just asking for trouble by not being prepared…and I’ve had to redo my people dumbness scale to capture the extremes demonstrated recently.
