Fiery red leaf upon the forest floor.
Fiery red leaf upon the forest floor – Autumn 2013 – Salisbury Community Park

The forest and woods have changed dramatically here in the last week — from leaves with only spotty colors to a full blaze of color and now, after rain and wind, are in the process of browning and quickly falling to the ground.  In some spots I have to rely on my memory to find the path I’ve been walking for over a year now.

All in all it’s been an exhilarating experience.  Here’s simply a couple of images made this week with my iPhone.

  1. When fall finally arrives it sure seems to come and go quickly. We need to enjoy it while we can!

  2. Despite what follows, I still love fall.

  3. Both of these images have a lovely impressionistic feel to them.

  4. I missed the hardwood colors of the Ohio Vally this fall. So much of our fall colors are of the brown. I say that because we do not have forests of hardwoods. The hardwoods we have are planted in parks and peoples yards. Thanks for these images.

  5. I love the painterly feel of this images. The highly saturated tones of your images are stunning – I especially like your second photograph, it could almost be an abstract. Fabulous!
