  1. We’re starting to see a few buds around as well – the sooner the better! I’m really getting tired of the ubiquitous brown landscapes. First shot is very cool – I think I’d probably crop it down some to accentuate the water and its reflections if it were mine, but even the way it sits it’s appealing…

    • John, thanks. I did try a number of crops for this image but found the background and the horizontal railroad line as well at the vertical trees seems to add locational perspective…at least in my eyes. :-)

  2. Maybe it’s because of the lack of sunshine, but the blossoms don’t look so glorious, so far, but I am very happy to see the signs of spring! :)

    • Paul, it’s still early and only the first blooms are out I think. A week or two and things will be popping! I agree still nice to see signs of spring.

  3. We decided to hang on to Winter for a little while longer here. I guess we can’t get enough of the barren landscape. It’s snowing as I write.

What is the flower in the second photo? Can it be cherry blossom?

    • Ken, it’s only been in the last few days I’ve seen these spring signs here.

Yes, that is a cherry blossom I believe…it was located on the edge of a patch of woods and appeared to be a wild cherry tree.

  4. My signs of Spring is seeing more robins around the neighborhood, one forest fire and the ice on the pond is gone. We had rain showers today and it smelled soooo good! But, alas snow showers predicted for Saturday.

  5. Winter is hanging on tight here – glad there are signs of spring somewhere!
