“As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives.” ~ Henry David Thoreau

I often walk the mountain bike trails as they are more a challenge and closer still to nature.  Early week day mornings no bikers seem to utilized this course so we almost always have it to ourselves.

It’s anything but straight or level and once started is a commitment to longer buy enjoyable trek.  But then that sounds like most of life’s journeys doesn’t it.

  1. The twists and turn in the path and in life add character to our journey.

  2. Right now our woods look like that but come Saturday, change of scenery

  3. I have always loved pictures of paths such as these. Now, the images produce the same stories and feelings with a bit of nostalgia, as well. I do so miss the ability to take off on a long hike. Thanks for this view. The processing on these is spot on for my taste.
