Picking up where I left off

This past Monday I did a couple of things I hadn’t done for a long while, I visited Bull Hole/Cooleemee River Park and I photographed with my Nikon D700 camera. There was a time I’d visit Bull Hole every couple of weeks but my last visit, prior to this one, was six months ago, this past March.  No particular reason for not visiting much this year except perhaps my feeling a little burnt out on it.

Photo slideshow on a 16:9 HDTV

I’ve been working on a slideshow of my best photos from our recent Italy trip for after dinner enjoyment with the friends we travelled with.  Normally I try and not bore people with vacation photos but when the audience is made up of those who experienced the same trip/locations it can be fun remembering and recalling stories around the photos. I’ve decided it would work best method to use my iPad and AppleTV to display these photos on our LCD TV using Airplay.

To the point

As election draw closer the road sides are full of “VOTE FOR” signs these days. However, yesterday while celebrating a beautiful day with a cruise in the convertible we came upon this road-side political sign in Badin, NC.  I simply had to pull over and get a photo of it.

Morning Clouds

It was an interesting sky this morning at sunrise as I was walking our dog.  A cold front pushed through over night breaking much of the heat and humidity we’ve been experiencing. These clouds, who’s tops are lit by sunshine, were the trailing edge of that front.
