Faithful Toy Truck

This photo is definitely a created scene, not a found one.

It started with a toy metal truck I picked out to decorate remodeled shelves — you can see it on the left side of the shelves in the “after” photo here. I staged and photographed it on the corner of my desk and then brought it into Photoshop to create grass and add a background from another photo.

I like this truck, perhaps because I use to love playing with toy trucks as a child. It’s not realistic but it’s got a lot of detail and character. It was also a fun project to do.

  5. Wow! is a good word for it. When I first saw it I though you’d gone Lensbaby on a real truck you discovered tucked away, but knowing it’s a set up toy truck makes it all that more impressive. Excellent work, Earl!

  8. Very sensitively captured, Earl. Well lit and excellent PS job too. We should all start make more art is the immediate thought that come out of me. Just for the joy of it.
