A hug from Santa -- Never too old

“Christmas is a season for kindling the fire for hospitality in the hall, the genial flame of charity in the heart.” ~ Washington Irving

There are so many who are struggling with everyday necessities during these hard times. There’s always time for a bit of kindness and cheer, be it a visit or hug from Santa Claus or a random act of kindness by a stranger.

You're Santa

Be that kind stranger.

Merry Christmas from Meandering Passage!

  1. Yes, even my cynical heart was warmed this morning by a story on NBC’s Today show. It seems that there are a number of good-hearted people out there who are anonymously going to different stores and paying off the layaway charges of customers that they don’t even know. One of those customers said that the $80 they saved could now be used to buy a ham for Christmas dinner. Amazing. Maybe there’s hope for us after all.

    • Paul, there are some good folks out there but it’s often hard to keep focus on them with all the other disheartening events these days. I try to be positive but sometimes/often I get dragged down into the muck. I do believe there’s always hope, always a chance for things to be better and that one person can make a different on some scale.

I’ve saw a couple of those “layaway angel” stories today. :-)

  2. Right on, Earl! and, Merry Christmas to you and Bonnie!
