Beauty in Decay
Beauty in the details, and decay
If you stop to notice, MN (Mother Nature) can get pretty wild with the colors. This photo’s a close-up of a decaying tree stump, not something you’d normally think of as beautiful. In post-processing the saturation was slightly bumped up, a little sharpening added and a mild crop, otherwise it’s as captured. Early morning sunlight provided natural highlighting for the golden yellow in the scene.

We walk around day-after-day seeing our world from our familiar perspective, often leading to a lost of awareness. Think about getting closer, backing away, climbing up, climbing down and simply looking around — find those special things…they’re there.

More awareness of those wonderful things around me is one of the many gifts I’ve received from photography.

Have a good weekend! :-)
