  1. Earl,

Beautiful shot, I love the composition and soft background blur. The butterfly is beautiful.

    • Alan, it was one of those circumstances that just happen. I was admiring the flowers and suddenly this butterfly swoops in and lands for only a few moments. It gave me just enough time for a couple of shots. Have a great weekend.

  2. A fine close up of this beautiful butterfly. I don’t think I’ve ever seen this variety around here. Well done.

    • I don’t believe it’s habitat includes the NW United States, Don. But it’s in most other parts of the country. Thanks for the kind comments.

  3. Your Weekend photo is more than cute :)) Very lovely compo and great focus and colors !

  4. An absolutely beautiful image. Looks like you talked another butterfly into posing for you. How do you do that, Earl? Their wings seem to be looking at us. And, those marking have significant meanings. I like this image because of the colors and your placement of the butterfly. Well done!

    • Monte, I believe my butterfly success is there’s been more butterflies out and about this year so I’ve benefited from better odds. ;-)

  5. beautiful, so peaceful

  6. Great photo, Earl. Love the bokeh and overall color scheme.

  7. Hi Eric, thanks! I’ll take partial credit for the bokeh but the color scheme was a matter of natures design and luck. However, I’m always happy to benefit when the universe wants to toss me an opportunity. :-)

  8. Great image Earl. Nicely composed.
