Father and Son

I’m not sure what is being communicated between the father and son in this photo — my selection of it was indeed influenced by it being “Father’s Day” in the United States today.

The photo was shot in the midst of the Smoky Mountains and perhaps the small boy was talking of the tall mountains and going up there, or perhaps he was telling his father he needed to do “Number 1.” I’ll leave the final interpretation to you. :-)

It was the father’s gentle touch of fingers to the boys leg which spoke to me of a caring parents love.

  1. I agree, Earl, there a gentle touch indeed here. I also like the black and white conversion you did. And, maybe he’s telling dad he thinks he’s number one.
