Spring Flowers
Spring Flowers - In Memory

While in the back yard taking photos of Japanese Maple leaves I made a couple of shots of potted flowers the wife has placed at strategic locations. I don’t know what variety these are, variegated “something” — I forgot to ask her.

If anyone knows what these are, jump in. I’ll update this post when/if I find out.

Update: Dahlias

I’d like to dedicate this image in memory to those innocents who’ve died through acts of violence, April 19th — 70 died during the Branch Davidian sect assault near Waco, TX, on this day in 1993 and 168 died in the Oklahoma Federal Building bombing on this day in 1995. In addition, tomorrow, April 20th is the anniversary of the Columbine High School massacre where 13 were killed in 1999. None of those events seem like they occurred that long ago — I remember watching live news coverage of each of them.

  1. Those looks very special dahlias. Nice detail and the color, of course, is beautiful. The reminder makes this an extra valuable post.

  2. I don’t know but they are gorgeous!
