Hi Earl, I'm online again, finally. Feels good be be out and reading all my Internet friend's blogs again. :)
This was quite a thought provoking post. Mother nature is like humans, or rather the opposit. Think of how mountains have rised on our planet's surface, and still are. Think also how everything probably looked billions of years ago. I believe the world looks better now. As we do, we who are older than 20. :)

I have seen the Blue Ridge Mountain, but that's it. I never got to spend time there. Your photo certainly captures that timesless beauty. I agree that if I must choose between coastal region and mountains, I choose the latter.

Heck, these mountains are barely teenagers! Hopefully they will have a long life filling magazine covers. :-)

I've never had the opportunity to visit the parkway in the Blue Ridge Mountains but it is on my list. I did spend a week in the Smoky Mountains back in October of 2003 and loved it. And, yes they do look pretty good for their age.

@don - Thanks!

@Paul - I know you must miss the mountains. While I like the coast and beach they don't recharge me the way the mountains do.

@Steve Skinner - Yea, they don't look a day over 999,999,999 years old do they? ;-)
