I agree with Don (and you) that it can't compete with the path with all its mystery and possibilities. Of course, being a color addict I prefer the color version of this scene. Still, I appreciate the beauty of the the black and white version, as well as your fine craftsmanship in producing it. Lovely subtle tones. It would be hard for the "clearing" shot to equal the charm of the path through the trees. Fine pictures.
