Snow Day

Sledding It was snowing some late last night and this morning there was about two inches of the white stuff covering the ground.

The real problem this time is that the temperatures fell to 19°F overnight making for ice and black ice in some spots–very slick and dangerous.

I guess earlier this week the groundhog did see his shadow so we should be expecting six more weeks of winter.

Of course schools are closed today so the neighborhood kids are enjoying their snow day. Maybe they’ll have a hot chocolate with those little marshmallows waiting for them when they get back inside. ;-)

Hey Earl,

Nice to see kids enjoying the winter weather. We’ve got tons of the stuff (we haven’t had any killer storms, but it’s been cold and the stuff never gets much chance to melt).

I hadn’t been back here in a while (one of the pitfalls of RSS I guess). I like your theme here. That maze/circuit graphic is killer. Did you do that? Nice. :)

Thanks Richard. It was a struggled to come up with a graphic to visually represent “Meandering Passage”–with passage used in the context of a progress or course. I wanted it to suggest a wandering course and to have a technical feel. A maze/circuit graphic seems to satisfy both conditions. I can’t claim total originality as I’ve seen some similar graphics out there. :-)

Those strange weather patterns again. In Charlotte, there was not any snow at all. My wife did report seeing a couple of snowflakes last night, but that’s about it! Go figure. Looks like a fun time. Here, in Charleston, it was a brisk 27 degrees with 20+ MPH winds this morning. In other words, slightly chilly. ;-)
