Rooflines

Rooflines – A solid grey sky formed an almost perfect backdrop for these metal roofs framed by trees and topped by brick red chimneys. I think the angles and colors form an interesting composition.

An event I watched and read yesterday keeps flashing through my mind.

“I’m here on television saying I screwed up, and that’s part of the era of responsibility. It’s not never making mistakes; it’s owning up to them and trying to make sure you never repeat them and that’s what we intend to do.” – President Obama

You can watch his interview and the above statement here.

It’s a breath of fresh air to have a President who will actually admit he “screwed up.”

I can’t remember hearing a President admit this so openly before–and that’s a crying shame. I believe Americans are forgiving and supportive of those who admit mistakes, take responsibility and work to improve.

To bad our last couple of presidents were not “big” enough to know this.

  1. Thanks for sharing that. Man! I get more and more impressed with this guy every day! I liked how he didn’t blame anyone at all. He didn’t say: “The Republicans … blah, blah, blah.” I’m so tired of finger-pointing and it was refreshing to finally not hear it. I think that he’s going to do a fine job!

  2. Paul:

I think he’s honest and sincere about wanting to do what’s best, but it’s going to be a hard road for many reasons. Change is seldom easy and those that have had the power and influence for so long are not going to easily give it up.

    I certainly wish him well.
