Apple iPhone and iPod Touch 2.2 update released.

Late yesterday Apple released iPhone and iPod Touch 2.2 updates offering enhancements and additions as well as improvements for stability and reliability.

Maps app got Google Street View capability and public transit directions and the performance of Safari is reported to be faster and more reliable.

There were also a number of enhancements to the iPhone to decrease any issues with dropped calls. The updates can be installed via the standard iTunes update methods.

Man I can’t wait for the new iPhone 3G S, my iPhone 1st gen really needs a replacer.
