Nikon has released a firmware update for the D300 DSLR camera. The update is v1.10 and addresses a wide range of issues.
It’s currently available for Windows and Macintosh users.
Hmmm. I’ll have to check into it. I wasn’t aware that my camera had issues! I usually like to do the firmware upgrades because sometimes they add cool new features. Thanks for the heads-up!
The 1.10 upgrade fixes a really annoying (especially in conjunction with the MB-D10) usability problem where the “Rotate tall” setting would rotate the picture for instant review.
“THE CAMERA IS ALREADY UPRIGHT, DAMMIT!”, people would hear me scream until I finally gave up and deactivated “Rotate tall”. Well, no longer! It does the right thing now.
@Pascal: I’d noticed that issue too and had deactivated “Rotate tall” as well but then I’m not using a MB-D10 with my D300 so it hadn’t bothered so much.
Glad to hear it’s fixed, I hadn’t caught that yet. Thanks for the info.
