Recently my photography’s been fixated with leaves, not surprising considering the season.

I’m finding interest in individual or small groups of leaves rather then trees and forests of leaves.

I’m finding imperfections more interesting then perfection, stark contrasts complimenting graduations and natural simplicity conveying beautiful complexity.

Autumns are about transition and change and while personally I’m not terribly good with change, I’m fascinated with the process.

  1. Dang it! Pine trees don’t change colors! That’s what I have here in SC, lots and lots of pine trees and palmetto trees!

I was home this weekend … just very small changes. I’ve not gotten a change to get out and shoot because my dog makes a terrible ruckus when I try to leave and he wakes my wife up! :-) He doesn’t like for me to go anywhere without him since I’m not at home so much!

  2. Blaming the dog…that doesn’t even work about homework in school? lol ;-)

Yeah, it’s still probably a week or two before the colors peak here but there are individual exceptions. The leaf photos in my last few post were taken in close-by parks.
