200809020829.jpg A must-have free utilities for Apple’s OS X, AppleJack, has now been released with OS X 10.5 Leopard compatibility. AppleJack is a command line tool that can be used after booting to single user mode (hold CMD-S while booting) which executes check, clean and repair commands from the command line.

This is a life saver if your Mac won’t boot to the Finder.

This tool has saved me a great deal of grief with a few previous versions of OS X and I’m glad to see it now available for Leopard. You don’t need it often, but if you do you’ll be glad it’s there.

It installs quickly without requiring a reboot. Get it now!
