_LND6638.jpg I’d mentioned in a previous post of having a photo printed and mounted via the Internet at a company called Art to Frames. I related in that post that I was very pleased with my first resulting print and frame, and was going to have some others done.

I’ve since gotten two additional 24″x16″ prints & frames back. I’m still very pleased with the results.

These folks seem to do a good job.

I’m already thinking of another blank wall which could use some colorful smaller photos. ;-)

  1. So, tell me more! Pricing? Turn-around time? What about color accuracy? Do they have profiles to download and use to get proper color?

  2. @Paul: Hey! There’s a lot of variables that go into pricing here. They have a nice wizard that steps you through it as far as frames and matting colors go. I did the print and framing package so there was no separate cost calculated for printing. They do offer a selection of paper types and also do canvas printing. The framing options I chose was black wooden frames with highlighted details, two matts, non-acid backing and anti-glare Plexiglas. The over-all outside size of each framed photo was 31.5″ x 23.4″ and the total cost with shipping and tax came to $179/ea.

Turn-around time in all cases was a week or less with one photo being turned around in four days. They are located in NY.

Color accuracy was a concern for me and the reason I did only one photo first to see the results. They do not provide color profiles for download but they use all Canon printers to print. For prints in the size I ordered they use Canon IPF8000’s, so I guess that could provide a starting point if you want to fine tune your print. Based upon my three results, they seem to know what they’re doing and the colors were true. They stand behind their work and if you don’t like the print they say they’ll make it right.

There are more details in my previous post which I linked to in this post.
