@Jared Christensen: Thanks for the comment! I couldn't agree more about the Touch. It's a great little device and I'm sure with Starbuck and GoBoingo accounts you're getting great use of it's WiFi capabilities...plus there are still a lot of open routers aren't there. ;-)

If you are gadget friendly and do not have a Touch - you should grab one. Where I am located it is an arm and about half a leg to own a iPhone - only one offical carrier in Canada - and no way I buy into that 3 yr contract thing - but the phone is less? Ya - if you need a calculator for this - then you likely own one .

Touch - WiFi work wonderfully. Even around the house my 13" LT never gets turned on anymore to check email.

With the Mac Mail app - all my email is in one place - work and Hotmail, my Fastmail, and ISP account. But the time my home Windows PC or LT fires up I have checked all my email accounts at the touch of a button. (Hotmail requires an izymail.com registration or something similar - but works slick - just like the iPhone).

Amazing device and WiFi is almost everywhere. I have a Starbucks card and a GoBoingo account and am rarley in need of a connection when one is not near. The other day in a auto/dept store - turned it on and found they have a free public WiFi...:)

And BTW - all you people with wireless routers running wide open with the SSID broadcast turned on - thanks!!
:)

@Paul: I've been surprised how well the iPod Touch works for light-medium duty browsing. The version of Safari that is on it is one of the best mobile browsers I've seen.

I resisted for a long time and just purchased mine a few months ago. I use it for browsing and staying connected online more then I thought I would. I've been very pleased thus far.

I've been considering getting an iPod Touch, but to tell the truth, I've had an iPod and rarely used it. The main attraction for this little jewel is the WiFi, but I have a laptop at home and would much prefer the bigger screen. It's still cool technology, though. I'm not surprised that you have one, either. ;-)
