Suft, Sand And Early Hours

_LND6246.jpgIt’s been a couple of years since I’ve been to the beach and much longer since being here mid-summer. Most of my last visits were during off season, avoiding the summer rush, so this visit is a different experience with families and school age children everywhere.

Often it’s hot and humid at the coast and you have to take advantage of the early morning and late evening lighting for the most enjoyable photography. That’s been the case this visit although the temperatures are fairly pleasant.

_LND6340.jpg A late night stroll along the beach last night and an early pre-sunrise venture this morning have been enjoyed to the max. It’s especially nice in the mornings because not many people are out so early.

My daughter, Amberle, came along on this trip and was out with me this morning to capture the sunrise. She’s interested in photography and we had a good morning talking about how to frame and capture a pleasing photo.

Lovely shots, Earl.

I, too, was at the beach this weekend; however, I was not in the mood for hot and humid weather, as I had just stayed 5 days in Orlando, FL. Usually, when I’m at the beach, I’ll get up very early, take lots of pictures, and sleep in the afternoon. This weekend, though, I opted to go for a walk (6 miles) with my wife during the morning. I took my camera, but didn’t take a single picture during the walk. I was sweating too much. ;-)

Hi Paul,

Thanks!

I can understand about the humid weather, especially in Florida. I couldn’t live there for that fact and because it’s too flat for me. ;-)

I thought the weather at Myrtle was not too bad this visit.
