When I last redecorated my office I painted my desk black and thereby ended up with a modern chrome and black theme. I like this look but it did lack a certain warmth that I prefer when I’m writing or editing photos.
Luckily while browsing Overstock.com I came across these small rectangular Alabaster lamps made in Egypt. You can see them on either side of my monitors in the photo below.
With 40 watt (14 watts usage) florescent bulbs they make a nice warm glow while adding to the wanted ambiance.
I’ve found myself staring peacefully into the beautifully illuminated detailed patterns as I mull over a task I’m working on.
