A weather balloon, a Nikon Coolpix and 22 vertical miles later.

There are some things that bring out the exploration-al kid in me.

That was the case when I saw the photos, and read the story, of the group from Alberta, Canada that launched a weather balloon carrying a Nikon Coolpix P2 digital camera taking one photo each minute, to an altitude of 22 miles.

The last photo before the balloon burst is the the one below…simply amazing.
