Apple released iPhone Software update version 1.0.2 today which is being described as simply, “Bug Fixes.”No word yet if there are any other hidden features in this release.

Did you hear the one about the new Adobe Flash Player 9 supporting H.264 and High Efficiency ACC (HE-ACC) audio as well as hardware accelerated multi-core full-screen video playback?Yeah…it may have just killed Microsoft’s Silverlight prospects before it could even get out of the gate.

According to research firm IDC, Apple is in third place overall in computer sales among all computer makers. This steady rise is being lead by strong notebook sales which for June 2007 were at 17.6 percent market share…. Apples overall market share has also increased to 5.9 percent, up from 4.8 percent of last year.

A little pre-project planning using some readily available tools can often avoid mistakes and waste during these projects.One such project that I’m dealing with is the tiling of a bathroom floor with not just one size tile but a combination of both 12 inch and 6 inch tiles. In order to get the placement of the tile pattern correct, and also a count of the needed tiles, I decided to use a drawing application to do an initial layout plan.The drawing application I used was OmniGraffle Pro, but any drawing program which allows you to define ruler and grid scales could work…. Once you have the pattern of tiles laid out that meets your needs, you can number each tile and the tile cuts and to get a final count.

As i stood watching not only the bowling but also the friendly and active interaction of the 100+ bowlers, I couldn’t help but think of social networks and how real, energetic, sustaining, and beneficial the social interaction I was witnessing was compared to what is called social networking on the web.Look up the meaning of “social” and you’ll see the word companionship mentioned in a number of the definitions. A companion by most counts is a person who accompanies, associates, lives or travels with another, physically.It often seems that the web’s vision is turned inward, promoting it’s own realities (webalities)…. Or as expressed in a recent post by Kent Newsome would even be known of in the business world?Yet, words and situations have been adopted from the real world to fit this “webality” (web-reality), resulting in meanings diluted, bent or altered.
