Jeremy Toeman at Live Digitally believes that next Tuesday’s Apple Mac announcement may be an ultra-portable tablet Mac not a revised iMac line.  Jeremy gives a number of reasons why he believes this.I do believe that eventually Apple will product a tablet model based upon touch screen technology similar to that used in the iPhone, but I don’t think it will be next Tuesday for the following reasons: Apple wouldn’t want to steal away the spotlight from the iPhone so soon after it’s introduction….  They are due an update.I think an ultra-portable tablet Mac would warrent a big announcement at one of the major Apple gatherings such as Mac World or the World Wide Apple Development conference.Another possibility that’s not been mentioned, is that we could see some of the new touch screen technology in the new iMacs along with the new “flat” keyboard to match a newer slimmer iMac design.

Apple: Safari 3 Beta Update 3.0.3

by Earl on August 1, 2007

in Apple Mac, Software

According to the information provided by Apple, Safari Beta 3.0.3 is recommended for all users and improves its security and stability.  For the Mac Platforms, the download is available through Software UpdateI don’t use Safari as my default browser so I hadn’t upgrade to the Safari 3 Beta until last week when curiosity about the new application got the better of me.  My initial impression are that it’s fast but I’m not sure what other improvements it has over the previous version.
