Apple’s iTunes, for all it’s stated issues with less the stellar video quantity, still has to be a strong attraction for those Movie/TV Studio’s that have yet to partner with it to sell their media…. So if you translate the above unit sales to dollars using average prices it would result in $45.7 million ($1.99/episode) in TV episode sales and $24.9 million ($12.49/movie) in movie sales. This would be approximately $70.6 million total Disney iTunes sales, less Apple’s sales commission. These figures are not a huge part of Disney’s total revenue stream, but it’s still substantial sales that otherwise would not exist.

Paul writes about the current assumptions that Linux should strive to become a better Windows, since Windows is perceived as the leading desktop operating system…. The bottom line according to Paul is that:…for Linux to make it to second place in the desktop sweeps it’s got to stop trying to be a cheaper Windows and become a better Linux instead.Apple’s OS X and Linux have much more in common then Linux and Windows…. Sure everyone copies great features from everyone else, but you’re never going to be the best if ALL you do is copy from the rest.
