Apple introduced Final Cut Studio 2 at NAB 2007 on 15th April, 2007. Final Cut Studio 2 consist of the following modules/applications:

  • Final Cut Pro 6
  • Motion 3
  • Soundtrack Pro 2
  • Color
  • Compressor 3
  • DVD Studio Pro 4

These applications comprise a powerful professional video editing and post production workflow suite.

Apple also introduced Final Cut Server for powerful media asset management and workflow automation. Final Cut Server adds improved work flows, review tools, and automated encoding and publishing that should make it a powerhouse for professional media houses.

Meanwhile today, Adobe began shipping Creative Suite 3 including Adobe CS3 Design Premium and Standard editions.

Both of these events are good news and could help drive demand for the “MacBook Pro” laptops and “Mac Pro” workstations. This would translate into increased sales of both hardware and software.
