Apple Leopard delayed till October

in Apple Mac, Software

As probably many of you have already heard, Apple today announced that the release of OS X 10.5, Leopard, has been pushed back to October 2007 while the iPhone remains on schedule for a late June release. In a released Apple statement: …iPhone contains the most sophisticated software ever shipped on a mobile device, and finishing it on time has not come without a price — we had to borrow some key software engineering and QA resources from our Mac OS X team, and as a result we will not be able to release Leopard at our Worldwide Developers Conference in early June as planned….We think it will be well worth the wait…. Personally, I would rather have Leopard instead of the iPhone in June, but I know where the money rides. The only other thing I can add is that I’m sure this feels like a little justice for many Microsoft fans.

By day number two Dave’s already decided that he doesn’t like the Apple TV and:If you’re technically proficient enough to read this blog, AppleTV is not for you.Ha Ha, well hey Dave maybe you’re so determined to see what the Apple TV can’t do, that you’re totally overlooking the beauty of what it can do?… This is also the machine that I sync and download media to my iPod from and my main iTunes Server for my Apple TV.The beauty of this setup come in play for me with subscribed podcast or videocast…. Nice I tell you.Dave also made the statement that:I’m not sure who it is for, but you don’t need it.Well Dave I could turn a 5-6 year old loose with the Apple TV and they could watch cartoons or movies galore without assistance.
