This has turned out to be one of the hardest software decisions I’ve ever made.Joe Barrett at The Image-Space recently made a decision to switch to Lightroom from Aperture after running them both for a time…. I can understand Joe’s point because in some ways that appeals to me as well, but I believe that Aperture’s Project, Folder and Album structure has more flexibility in allowing you to group photos without being confined by the physical disk folders…. For me it would be advantage to Aperture. There are two other areas that I think would be key to making a decision between Aperture or Lightroom.Since Aperture has been on the market longer then Lightroom there are a number of plugin’s that interface Aperture to on-line photo storage and service applications such as Flickr.

According to a report by the BBC, there will be a media event on Monday, April 2nd, to announce an “exciting new digital offering” with Steve Jobs of Apple as special guest. Speculation is that iTunes may at last have full access to the Beatles tracks and albums. None of the Beatles tracks are currently available for purchase or download on any online music service so this would be a big boost for iTunes.

Meandering Passage new logo

in Observations

Perhaps he also imparted to me this need to change things. The point of all this is simply to announce that I have once again made a change to the Meandering Passage site. I added a new spiffy logo at the top, replacing the curves ahead road sign, and changed the post title icons…. :-) I hope you find these changes attractive and of course as always if you have any problem with the operation of Meandering Passage please contact me using the Contact Page form.
