Apple release last major update to OS X Tiger, 10.4.9 - 10.5 Leopard should be next
Apple released OS X version 10.4.9 today with 30 security patches and other additions and fixes. I install it without any problems on both a PPC and Intel based Mac.
This will be the last major update of OS X “TIGER” (10.4) prior to the future release of “LEOPARD” (10.5). According to developers, it appears that Apple is ahead of schedule with OS X Leopard, which could be released sometime this spring.
Not bad considering Apple also revamped their entire computer hardware line to Intel processors and released an Intel version of OS X Tiger while working on Leopard, all in the last year!

i want updat firmware …….?
Naren, When Apple releases 10.6 in October I would expect it to run on a Powerbook G4 without any firmware updates. You should be able to install 10.5 Leapord.
