As expected Microsoft officially announced the Zune personal media player today. The Zune is to be available in time for the holidays and features a 30GB hard drive, wireless connectivity and will come in three colors…brown, black and white.¬† No prices have been announced as yet.

Interesting story being reported on Verizon taking over some of the TV software coding from Microsoft after deciding that Microsoft could not meet it’s agreed upon timetable. It would appear from this that the inability to meet deadlines and produce workable applications extends beyond¬† just the OS Vista/Longhorn devision of Microsoft.
